Program Description

Event Details

Want to learn how to design and print your own 3D models? In this class we'll walk you through the basics of an powerful industry-standard CAD program called Fusion 360. We'll walk through the steps together as we design a desk caddy that will be ready to 3D print in the library. Over 90 minutes, we'll prepare you to do the following on your own:

  • Understand the user interface and workflow of Fusion 360
  • Create fully constrained and dimensioned sketches
  • Extrude sketches into 3D objects and edit them
  • Export your files for printing or other use

To participate in this class, you must bring your own computer installed with Fusion 360, which you can download for free. A mouse is highly recommended, but not required. It is also recommended that you take the Intro to 3D Printing class on November 2, but it is not required.

Recommended for ages 8+.
